Information from City of Vancouver on the Viaducts and the broader Eastern Core Study:
Inspired by initial stakeholder input and the vast contributions of the re:CONNECT Ideas Competition, the City of Vancouver is proposing a bold new concept for the land under the Georgia and Dunsmuir Viaducts. A summary presentation of the proposed concept is available for viewing at our study website (vancouver.ca/viaducts). This message is to inform you of upcoming public open houses to solicit your feedback on the viaducts concept. Staff are targeting a report to Council prior to the summer break in July 2012. Please join us at one of the following times:

Note: A slide-show presentation of the Re:Connect Ideas Competition submissions will be on display in the Woodward's Atrium from June 1 to 15. All submissions may be viewed on the competition website.
The open house materials, which will be posted on the website in the coming weeks, will outline details of the conceptual plan, including the transportation analysis which provided the foundation for this proposal.
